How Dacia encodes its VINs
Every Dacia vehicle carries a unique 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) that acts as the vehicle's fingerprint.
Dacia uses UU1 and UU6 as WMI codes. Position 4 identifies the model (Sandero, Duster, etc.), position 5 the body style, and position 6 the engine type.
